Question: What if i dont have router? Will it work?
Answer: It will work within the home and record the video on the local hard drive. But you cannot view the live video via your smart cell phone.

Question: what cable would i need to buy if i want to place the camera farther away from the base than the included 50 foot cable?
Answer: You can use Cat5 with couplings to extend the length.

Question: Can the older model IP cameras work with this?
Answer: Yes, it works with any IP CAMERA and also POE IP CAMERA cameras. Thanks.

Question: Can it send notifications when motion is detected?
